In
order for your rear induction engine to operate correctly
Pay close attention to the following rules:
1.) Keep in mind that (for example) the
3W 140 needs 800L TR. per minute at 6000 RPM.
2.) The area where the carb is located must have a forced
air induction. Just to open up the area will not be
sufficient. Holes or other openings in the fuselage
will cause the opposite effect. Instead supplying air
into the fuse it will be sucked out.
3.) We recommend for the 120iB2 and 140iB2 to use our
air filter system. By giving a tuning effect you can
see from 150 TO 200 RPM gain. This system also acts
as a fuel recovery system.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE
CARBURETOR WITH REAR INDUCTION:
(3W120iB2/3W140iB2)
When running your engine, the basic needle
adjustment should not vary more than 3MM (0.12) on both
sides. If the needle adjustment is more than this, please
check the following:
1.) Is the carb ventilation good enough?
2.) Mufflers volume too little?
3.) Oil mixture enough?
4.) Good ventilation of gas tank?
5.) Propeller too large for break-in of a new engine?
6.) Ventilation of engine and muffler compartment good
enough?
